Malvaste Retreats.
We are renovating an old historical site to turn it into a modern retreat centre for helping people reconnect with nature and themselves.
Dmitri, Valerie, and Sky welcome you!
What is this all about?
This place once belonged to my family 15 years ago.
Over the years, things fell apart — broken windows, open doors, overgrown paths, a sense of danger.
When we finally managed to buy it back, I thought: maybe it’s not too late?
We’re not here to build a spa or an apartment complex.
Instead, we want to see if this could grow into something peaceful and meaningful — a silent retreat centre for people and organizations seeking to reconnect.
This summer, we plan to live here ourselves — with Valerie and our five-year-old Sky. Come and visit us!

Events & Solo Retreats
The first offering will consist of solo retreats and company strategy/team days, as afterall this has always been our specialty!
We want to bring a new type of connection to our guests - one through deep dialogues, tea ceremonies and nature.
Where Are We Now?
And where do we want to go?
1. Camping houses & essential needs

We are already renovating our camping houses, with first five set to be ready in the first part of July.
The goal is to have the first events already in July!

2. The future of the schoolhouse
The large schoolhouse is the heart of this place.
It’s not under heritage protection right now, but we’re exploring if that’s possible.
Even if not — we want to restore it as authentically as possible, just the way it used to be.
First, we’ll need to clean, assess the damage, and gather offers to understand where to begin and what’s even possible.
We have already purchased a large event Tipi, allowing us to host very deep and meaningful events for our guests.
The Tipi can host up to 80 people at a time. If you want to see it, just let us know when you want to stop by.
3. An event space!
We have only just started, but we already have a large Tipi tent, are renovating the first five camping houses, and getting ready to host our guests in July!
Malvaste is a living and breathing organism, and we will develop it together with the community and our guests! If you have any ideas, just reach out.
We are currently looking for:
People who can assess the condition of the buildings
People and organizations who want to "beta-test" our events.
Support to protect the area and prevent further damage
Any kind of feedback or suggestions — everything is welcome!
