Malvaste awakens.
An old schoolhouse. A collapsed tourist base.
And one big question — can life return to this place?
We believe the answer is: definitely yes.
Dmitri, Valerie, and Sky welcome you!
What is this all about?
This place once belonged to my family.
Over the years, things fell apart — broken windows, open doors, overgrown paths, a sense of danger.
When we finally managed to buy it back, I thought: maybe it’s not too late?
We’re not here to build a spa or an apartment complex.
Instead, we want to see if this could grow into something peaceful and meaningful —
for us, for kids, for guests. Something that evolves with time.
We don’t know exactly what it will become.
But we’ve already started cleaning, closing off dangerous areas, and gathering info and ideas.
If you feel called to help — in any way — reach out.
This summer, we plan to live here ourselves — with Valerie and our five-year-old Sky. :)

Where Are We Now?
And where do we want to go?
1. Camping houses & essential needs

Our first goal is to make at least one of the little camping houses livable before summer.
We’re dreaming of preparing 4–5, so we can stay there ourselves and welcome our first guests.
At the same time, we’ll figure out the water and electricity situation — and what the bare minimum is to move in by summer.

2. The future of the schoolhouse
The large schoolhouse is the heart of this place.
It’s not under heritage protection right now, but we’re exploring if that’s possible.
Even if not — we want to restore it as authentically as possible, just the way it used to be.
First, we’ll need to clean, assess the damage, and gather offers to understand where to begin and what’s even possible.
If we manage to fix things up even a little, we’d love to start inviting people this summer.
Friends, curious souls, anyone who wants to experience it.
We’ll host some tea evenings, moments of silence, or just be and share.
If someone wants to co-create something — let us know.
It might be the beginning of something truly special.
3. A place for people — already this summer
Right now, everything is still pretty raw —
but we’re moving forward step by step.
We’re not looking for a perfect plan —
just people who want to think along, help out, or simply follow the journey.
Currently looking for:
People who can assess the condition of the buildings
Ideas and help for getting the small camping houses ready — how to make at least one or two livable by summer
Support to protect the area and prevent further damage
Any kind of feedback or suggestions — everything is welcome!
