We’re a family drawn to adventure, entrepreneurship, and the deeper questions of life.
We’ve spent years exploring the world, searching for answers — but deep down, we’ve always felt the pull to have a place of our own. A hidden spot where time flows differently.
For us, Malvaste is that place.

Dmitri has always been entrepreneurial by nature, but in recent years he’s begun to question what “work” truly means.
Why do we dedicate so much of our lives to it?
He’s built successful companies, and he’s failed too. Alongside business, he studies the art of Gong Fu tea ceremonies, practices Wing Tchun martial arts, meditates, and explores Zen.

Valerie is an artist, an acrobat, and a fearless explorer of the unknown.
Her life is a continuous journey of learning and diving into new disciplines. She has been a space lawyer, media editor, animator, painter, and more — always ready to step into something new.

Together with our child, Sky, we travel, learn, and experience.
And now, we want to bring all the wisdom and beauty we’ve found out in the world — back here, to Malvaste.

This isn’t just a dot on a map for us.
Dmitri spent many childhood summers on Hiiumaa, and his father worked on the island’s ferries during Soviet times.
There’s something that draws us here. The island calls. Malvaste calls.
